This is basically a free version or alternative to Adobe Photoshop. Very powerful especially for it being free.

Very popular program in the Linux world, I have never used it myself, mostly cause I already have photoshop.

If I recall correctly it won't open or save .gif's though cause of copyright issues withthe file format...

Huh..interesting...I have photoshop too but im always looking for new things to play with...but lately i dont get much time to even play with what i have. so maybe during my vacation time. lol.

In alot of ways its alot better since you have alot more resource. But like photoshop it takes a little qhile to get used to the interface and stuff like that.
