| SiN's Love Slave Sins: 836 Xations: 20% ![]() | Last few days I've been playing the PS3 and I'm loving it. I tried out the movie options all the way from a vcd to dvd to blu-ray. Same TV, same cables, same everything except for the media. Now when I looking at Bluray I emmiately see a huge difference in qaulity. Honestly I was very shocked by how much better a DVD movie could get. But honestly while the qaulity is so much better then a dvd I would honestly have to say it isn't just worth it to me, mainly becuase I don't watch movies all as much as alot of you might. Actually for regular movies it really wouldn't matter to most people. For any into sci-fi movies or any other movies with alot of special effects, make sure you have a towel before starting the movie. TRUST ME! | |

| Silver Champion Sins: 1,625 Xations: 0% ![]() | Well Sinny got the PS3 and Wii for me and the kids. I guess I start it off on the Wii since I know alot of ou all are more technical and will discuss the other 2 system more. The Wii is pretty fun but I know I'm going to flamed for saying this but it still seems like a system for the younger crowd. The graphics are not way comparable to PS3 or Xbox360 and the games for the most part are really easy. My guess is becuase of the controller style. I actually beat Zelda, come on what does that tell you. The sports games are really fun. But let me say this, If you already have a PS2/PS3 and have the eyetoy you going to really start comparing as I did. Since the Wii uses infrared you can play the game at night and/or with no light. Definitely a plus over the eyetoy. The eyetoy you just use you arms and hands so no need to have you hands stuck on the kung-fu grip style. Although you will get a little bit larger assosrtment of games then what's out for the eyetoy. I could really go either way on the Wii. There's alot of things I really like about it but I proably need to wait to see what future games will come out for it. You definitely move you arms alot more on the eyetoy then the Wii. Buying games through the. Wii store was a little of a headache becuase of all the steps and the busy-ness of their servers. So game games saves aren't home dependant so you can transfer them for wii to wii. | |

| Iron Apprentice Sins: 93 Xations: 0% ![]() | I got a funky error on mine and it took me a while to update the firmware on it. The I read online so many people was getting the same errors and everyone trying to update at the same time. Usually a reason why the servers was so blogged down. Also I noticed that the Wii is a louder then the other systems when its actually loading a game. Other then that its pretty smooth. | |

There's a guy who went through the majority of features of the system. It only go through what the system basics from the second you take it out the box and turn it on. | |

| Paradox Sins: 3,847 Xations: 14% ![]() | Ok I had a post about this but my net lost it so here is a sum up: Having issues with the Wii's wireless? Change the channel on your router to 1 or 11, wel it shouldn't make a difference it does, a huge one. I found it far quieter at all times then my 360... The Wii's graphics suck, but only compared to 360 and PS3, this is mitigated by one factor. Fun, for gamers and non gamers alike, I took it to a friends place and his wife who hates video games had the time of her life. I would say Nintendo nailed it here. I nust say Nintendo has been consistant here lately, yes their systems aint as pretty ont he rendered side, but wholly fuck are thier games fun to play (most with high replay value), it's managed to break the jaded feeling I've had towards games as of Late (and for the DL games, my go they put a lot of effort into making the shole system informative. As one mentioned it is a little clkunky, bu tit does work and you don't lose yourself The 360, well Gears of War kicks ass, you might comlain it's not lethal enough, or the SP is too short, but I have not had this much fun at a shooter since the orignal UT (though I do love the vecs in 2004) BEauiful game as well, but above all FUN. | |

| Platinum Infantryman Sins: 409 Xations: 3% ![]() | Damn this is alot of info to read up on. My brother got a PS3 and Wii. The Wii graphics really aren't as good as the other 2 consoles but you have to remember they have totally different games and I think its for a younger crowd. Thanks Sinny for that video. Now I actually know what all that stuff on the menu is fo no .I like the Wii alot, its really fun but like Chello said an eye toy on the PS2 will give you a very close similarity as far as having to move alot for games. | |

| Iron Apprentice Sins: 80 Xations: 0% ![]() | You all have to remember that Nintendo doesn't have the strenght in the industry as it once did some years ago. They really can't compete with the other 2 companies head on so they make more family orientated games. Microsoft just hasn'ted gone to this genre yet and sony has alot of comparable things to compare. I think Chello really sumed it all best, as far as comparing a Wii to a PS2 with the eyetoy. I don't have any of the new systems out but I played on the Wii at a friends place. It really a nice system but a PS2 is very comparable to it. The majority of Wii games are easy, excluding most of the sports games. | |

| Paradox Sins: 3,847 Xations: 14% ![]() | I think if ever gamer I knew refused to buy a Wii (which is not the case most I know will be getting one either right before or right after pickcing up a 360), the number of non-gamers I know that are getting a Wii now would outsell PS3's 2-1 (that's saying every gamer bought a PS3, something I know is not happening). I think Nintendo has managed what they set out to do, woo the non gamers that find controllers excessively complex and modern games to be to difficult to get themselves into. Sure they might have lost out on a lot of gamers, but to lose a few eggs for a chance at hundreds of chickens (that will evnetually lay eggs of their own...) ok the analogy is not perfect, but sometimes people simple and easy can still be fun. | |

| SiN-X Admin Sins: 2,320 Xations: 9% ![]() | My biggest debate with playing on the wii is that games just not really that fun except for the Wii Sports which you get when you buy the system. Red Steel and Zelda are just too easy for anyone with patients. I think that's why alot of gripe about gWii games and they controller is that you trying to play as fast as you would with a controller and you don't. The slower you react to what you see on the screen the easier the game gets and for most gamers going slower isnt a option they like. As far as what Chello says is pretty true and I'm guessing Nintendo will figure something out. PS2 you have the camera which is basically a Wii without the need to hold anything in your hand but the wii is alot more responsive. But with the PS2 you also have the dancing games. And addition to that you can use the camera and arm moments and the dancing together. I love my wii. But with my ps2 I have to admit I can achieve the same fun and excitement with more options and about $100+ less the price. Wii has a very promising future but at this time the Wii came out alot later then it should have. | |

| Paradox Sins: 3,847 Xations: 14% ![]() | The problem being Dream you're still a gamer, and while Redsteel is not great, Wii Sports and Raymens Raving Rabbids have been extremely popular with the people I've been showing this to (Zelda might be easy as such, but easy is still not the same as not fun, otherwise why would the Mario series of games still be so damn popular?). Most non gamers I have talked to prefer the feel of the Wiimote because they are used to holding remotes. | |
