    Facebook Gives Us the Lowdown on Its Redesign


    Yesterday, Facebook celebrated its sixth birthday and a new milestone: 400 million users. Oh, and it celebrated it in style, if we do say so ourselves.

    Last night, the company decided to mark the momentous occasion by launching a complete homepage redesign and throwing a party for its employees. Not only that, but it invited engineering students and select members of the press to chat with Facebook’s team, including Mark Zuckerberg, COO Sheryl Sandberg and Product Manager Peter Deng

    In a private meeting with the press, Mr. Deng took the time to explain the new FacebookFacebookFacebook redesign and all of its new features in-depth. I whipped out my Kodak ZI8 and filmed the entire conversation and demo. While he didn’t reveal many new details, he did provide a very useful overview that made Facebook design and its plan much easier to understand.

    I like the old layout about infinitely better, but I never really get a say in these things (Still rocking the classic 98 view in XP)

    OMG you are! Well I know is you turn everything to 98 style on XP you get a performance boost but just the look of it would annoy me. I'm using one of the style Sinny designed only becuse he did it in my color. I don't like the default style of XP, gives it too much of a kiddish lollipop look to it.

    While I do like the slight boost it gives my aged dying computer, mostly I like how more effectively I can find what I want
