Dreanna's Computer Goes Boom

Dreanna's computer went boom boom this weekend. Dell told her its her motherboard and to remove the harddrive from the computer and send it in to them. She said it will be about 2 weeks for her to be without a computer.

Tech support asks a lot of what for anyone that knows a few things about computers seem redundant, till you relalize just how stupid everyone else in the world is about them

That's the truth. If it wasn't for the dumb people masking the simplist mistake tech would actually need skills all the time. Why wont my screen work, is the screen broken, is it the computer that is messed up. Did you try pushing the power button on your monitor, oh I thought it just came on by itself.

ok so i think i know what it is it was and still is infested with some viruses and trojans when he supposedly formatted my hard drive but what i think my friend did is install windows over windows lol i dont know if that pssible because it still has files from before he said he formatted windows i scanned it and these vundo viruses wont get out and some other stuff i dont know i tried the vundo thing to get em out and its says i have none so i dont know what the hell lol i just know it is still sick

It's not impossible, but if he did it would just overwright the files. And it wouldn't be active on the next install. Someone using the computer would still have to reactivate the virus.

hmm strange but honestly it sounds like he didn't do anything at all to your computer except just install another OS and still have the one with the viruses still active, that doesn't so do anything except given the viruses another OS to infect, I would go fix it and take out all them viruses if I could but I'm in Cali right now, I won't be back to Houston til tuesday

Just get the computer over to Sinny wait about an hour or 2 and then you have everything ripping and ready to do. But glad you have it back and working just not perfect yet for you.
