A Playboy model that's a serious gamer?

Do Playboy models love video games? On a first meeting with Jo Garcia, it'd be easy to levy skepticism. She's Playboy's "Cyber Girl Of The Year," beating out 52 weeks of rival models in an online-only competition. It just happens, Garcia said, that she's "really big into games."

We've seen many beautiful faces representing themselves as gamers, of course; booth babes, models and even amateur cam girls using photos of themselves posed suggestively with game paraphernalia to sell products or drive web hits. Because of this phenomenon, every time you see a so-called "hot gamer chick," the temptation is to assume she can't possibly be an actual gamer.

So is Jo Garcia the real deal? Full interview - and slightly NSFW pics - follow the jump.

"People don't understand that that the whole gaming world is not just for geeks, and assume that every person who plays video games is a geek that wears glasses," Garcia
said. "It's a misnomer that needs to be put to rest."

Garcia told us she plays PC games and console titles, and owns both a Nintendo DS and a PSP. "It's something that I carry with me everywhere, like some people carry their iPods. It's the norm to me. I've had people send me messages like, 'oh you play video games?' And I'm like, 'why are you so surprised?"

"If I could get a job... being a game tester, I would do that all day long."

Yeah I agree, If I had a girlfriend who enjoys playing video games as much as I do I know I'd be happy, she would probably kick my ass in video games too lol

Too early to tell since it doesn't list or name any titles that she currently play so I try her out but not sold just yet.

i agree with that, i know a lot of female gamers that are damn good...

i've never understood why people think gamers are geeks.. it must be a US thing still? out here everyone you meet is a possible gamer..
then again, this is Melbourne, where graffiti is an accepted and welcomed form of artwork. (yes its still illegal, but rarely removed or complained about)

True but the term "Gamers" people really don't understand either. I actually some girl at work tell us she's a gamer. So I gave her a small test, really easy. I asked her to name a game sys that came out before nintendo, she couldn't. I pretty much stopped right there, if you can't even get that one then you not even close to being a gamer.

Well all I gotta say is that those people who think that the gaming world is just for geeks are just hatin, plain and simple, and if they don't understand its because they are just idiots, Its awesome to see girls at video game competitions rockin out and whumpin ass lol, especially in Call of Duty 4 hahaha

When we go over to Sin's place we often play it still. There's still tons of games on it that are so much better then what's available. Like he has this one game that has tons of versions of pong. It's the best pong ever made seriously.

Hell yeah Asia is cool. I've talked with her like once or twice. Sinny used to play with her on the original UT alot. Even on UP server she was really well known.
