| Gold Peasant Sins: 55 Xations: 0% ![]() | Alltel We are all familiar for with the commercials buy now. Since they only have thing to promote. In the commercials they never tell you anything about the specifics. Even on the website when I first went to it they never had the details spelled right out. Now I went to them they actually have some details. The prices of the phones are prety good. Largest Network Claim: Based upon analysis by an independent research company in July 2006, which compared marketed coverage patterns at the time of their creation of each wireless carrier without allowance for variations due to electrical interference, customer equipment, topography & each carrier’s translation & defined preferences of their own internal engineering data. Stay Connected: An automatic one-minute credit will be provided for any dropped voice call on the Alltel network. Not available on prepaid plans. No action is required by the customer to receive the credit. Total dropped calls will be reflected on the current month’s billing statement. Dropped calls will not be credited when outside the Alltel network. Program may be discontinued at the discretion of Alltel. My Circle: Available to new and existing customers on current select rate plans $59.99/mo & higher. My Circle applies to ten numbers per account, which must be shared among all lines on account. Not available on prepaid plans. Customer may not designate own wireless or voice mail number, Directory Assistance or 900 numbers as any of the ten available numbers. Calls must begin & end in your plan’s calling area. Designated numbers must be within the U.S. Program may be discontinued at the discretion of Alltel. Anytime Plan Changes: Does not apply to certain business accounts. Plan changes may not become effective until beginning of your next billing cycle. Is this a actually good deal? Seems pretty high to me. Last edited by LadyPrecious; 10-09-2006 at 05:10 PM. | |

| Sin's Playtoy Sins: 2,581 Xations: 50% ![]() | Honestly the deal is sorry. And why is says its the largest network, I have no idea how the hell that can be, since everyone is on Cingular/AT&T, T-Mobile or Sprint/Nextel. So unless they are counting them as well there isn't a way for it the be the largest network. If you don't have much money I would go with Sprint. Not trying to cap on anyone but alot of poor people or people who don't have much money goes with them. They purchase maybe 100 mins, and have all incoming calls which are free. You can tell who these people are becuase they wont call you from their cell phone, and they always tell you to call them. T-Mobile is good. Especially if you have friends on that netwok. Since in-network calls are free. You usually also get ALOT of minutes. Be sure you know which minutes you are getting. Not all plans are nationwide if that's important to you. Cingular/AT&T is proably the best overall, although they are sorry for customer service. Rollover minutes after the first month. Most people will have this. Free calls to in-network. What we do is use the ADD-A-Line option. And then just split the bill. We only playing about $15 a month. And he have about 3300+ minutes. Since I only call people on cell phones mostly I never get charged minutes so that's why we saves tons. Crikett is making a big impact. $35/mo unlimited minutes. If you don't want internet on your phone do download stuff onto it its very good for just having a phone to call people with. There's also a huge bug in their system as far as billing. Pay the first bill and never get charged for any other bills. I know its sneaky but it does work. That's pretty much it in a nutshell. Choose wisely. | |

| Gold Peasant Sins: 55 Xations: 0% ![]() | Raven I just was thinking the same thing. If you hard up on money then those are the ones most likely to go with Sprint. Everyone else is either with Cingular or T-Mobile. Noth companies do have some good deals on phones. If I can get some discount with Crikeet I may go with them but trying to think will I need any internet features on my phone or not. | |

| Platinum Infantryman Sins: 402 Xations: 2% ![]() | Raven.I know what you mean. Hey is you can't spare minutes calling out, get a real plan don't be that cheap person and act like nothing is up. That's like the person who goes to the club with you and always seems to forget there's a cover charge to get in. ![]() Alltel is expensive for what you get with it. And the phones are nothing special. I think it just a promotion scheme that doesn't help anyone really. If you only talk to so many people anyway chances are you don't talk that long. | |

| Bronze Soldier Sins: 461 Xations: 5% ![]() | I pretty much associated everyone with Sprint with 2 things: 1. Either you have to use it becuse your job paid for the phone. or 2. Your poor and/or have very bad credit. If you have Sprint I'm not trying to talk about you or anything but its really how about 90% of people with Sprint are. Seriously ask around who has Sprint and you see that the majority will fall in one of those 2 catergories. | |
