MSN/Yahoo! Interoperability...

So the big news lately is that Microsoft and Yahoo! have linked their IM networks together to offer true server-side interoperability! We're very excited about this, as we've always been big supporters of interoperability in any form. We believe that the end user should ultimately select his or her favorite client and not have to worry about who is chatting where, and this is a great step in that direction. Congratulations to the Windows Live and Yahoo! teams for taking a very encouraging first step.

We are working on ensuring that Trillian users can take advantage of this new functionality ASAP; it will involve upgrading Trillian to speak a newer version of both the Y! and MSN protocols, which is not a minor undertaking by any means, but we're looking forward to the challenge. Back to work...

It's nice to see them working together and sharing there toys at the playground.

I like Trillian but I wish there was a way to use more of the features that Yahoo! Messenger has within Trillian. That would be extra awesome.

Since I'm not one much for extra crap Trillian works, especially for something so much cleaner then having 5 different IM clients installed, but I admit they could be a little more ont he ball in keeping up with the IM companies changes to their networks.

This is a great addition for anyone who uses thier moblie IMs. Although I rarely chat on IMs any more I still belive this to be a great step.
