| AIM Sync [newspic]http://www.aimatwork.com/sync/add_addressbook-t.gif[/newspic] AIM Sync by Intellisync is a free service that lets AOL® Instant Messenger™ (AIM®) users with AIM version 5.5 or higher who use Microsoft Outlook 2002 and 2003 easily share contact information and stay in touch with business colleagues, friends and family. With AIM Sync, AIM users can add their Outlook contacts to their AIM Buddy List® feature by AIM screen name, mobile phone number or both. AIM Sync makes presence information for Outlook contacts added to the AIM Buddy List feature available at numerous points in the Outlook application, including the address fields on Outlook e-mail messages, address cards and phone list views. Making presence information easily accessible enables AIM Sync users to see if a colleague is online and available to respond to issues via AIM message or a telephone call. In this way, AIM Sync can speed response time to help AIM users be more productive. AIM Sync also allows users to invite contacts who do not currently use AIM to register for the service. | Iron Peasant Sins: 23 Xations: 0% ![]() | This is a cool feature especially for everyone talking on messenger on their cell phones but its not the product I'm sceptical about, its the company. Outlook holds alot of sensitive information for alot of people especially professionals. And another one of your post you said AOL no longer (basically) has a privacy policy. The 2 don't really make a good pair IMO. | |

| Paradox Sins: 3,839 Xations: 11% ![]() | I was going to reply with a similar statement Cammy... I hate how an AIM install places itself in every aspect of the computer it can get away with as it is as well, and now they are givng the abilty to mix this product (which refuses to account or allow for your privacy) with information that most people would want to be VERY private. there's gonna be a lot of AIM drones that are going to mindlessly open very private information to the world... | |
