Bucking the trend of alarm clocks that make hitting the snooze button an extremely physical chore is this model from Hammacher Schlemmer that uses advanced speech recognition technology to control the most common functions. So when the alarm goes off in the morning and you don’t feel like getting up, all you need to do is yell ‘Stop’ which will start a 5-minute snooze timer. The alarm clock recognizes 10 different spoken commands including Set alarm, Set time, Check alarm, What is the date, Alarm sound, Stop and Temperature. Alternately, the large backlit LCD panel is also touch sensitive and allows the time and alarms to be manually set the ‘old fashioned’ way. And if you need a little white noise to fall asleep to, the clock even has a voice activated function to start playing soothing sounds like the ocean, chirping birds or a babbling brook.

cool features for this alarm clock but telling it stop would be interesting for me cause I'm used to just rolling over and hitting the snooze button and rolling back to sleep lol

That's a pretty good price tag for it's features, I wonder how reliable it is in the long run (sturdiness), that said, any alarm that easy to turn off is a bad idea...

Yeah Hsooly uou right, hopefully you have to reach a certain volume, if you could whisper and turn it off it nots going to do any good.

lol yeah me too but Dream and Hsool are right, i mean this alarm clock has to have some limit of reliability and for how long it would last too, but yeah I wouldn't mind getting one of these myself, it beats rolling around to hit the snooze button lol

For heavy sleepers this would be pointless, but good for light sleeprs. Give time for Dream to posts who's the heaviest sleeper on this site.

I just thought about this thing this morning for some odd reason. A cool feature for this was if you could set the alarm time and all other settings by voice aswell.

you know what that's a good idea for this alarm clock instead of walking up to it and setting it up manually, well I for one would get it if it did have that feature Raven, how about you?
