| Another Houston Strip Club Raided ![]() Proving again that it's legally perilous to work at a Texas gentlemen's club, police last Thursday arrested 18 employees of a Houston strip joint on a variety of charges, including prostitution and violating the city's strict regulations governing sexually oriented business. The May 29 raid at St. James Cabaret was carried out by Harris County Sheriff's Office vice officers following a weeklong undercover operation. On the following pages you'll find mug shots of 15 of the women caught up in the law enforcement sweep, which was triggered by citizen complaints about operations at the club. This is at least the fourth time in the last 18 months that a Houston strip club has been raided. Previous cases, which are detailed here, here, here, and here, netted 32 arrests. In most instances, dancers were busted for improper contact with customers, a violation of the "three-foot rule" governing how close a dancer can get to a customer. | |||

| Paradox Sins: 3,832 Xations: 52% ![]() | This has been happening a lot all over the US, I saw a story about a few busted up in Washington state if I recall the place correctly last night, others I saw on the net over the past few weeks. I can't remember are they even allowed to actually get naked in Texas? | |

| Paradox Sins: 3,832 Xations: 52% ![]() | Up here they are allowed to be totally naked on stage, just no touching, which is not much of a worry when most of the clubs are owned by biker gangs and people tend to like their bones whole ![]() | |

| Paradox Sins: 3,832 Xations: 52% ![]() | People always dislike people charged with enforcing the rules, mind you I agree there are police that abuse their powers, however the widespread dislike of cops is rooted directly in our base desire to do what ever the fuck we want, and the cops restrict us. It's no different at all then a rebellious teen disliking their parents for not allowing them to do something, and says a lot about people. | |
