| Here's a secret imparted by a female friend of mine, if you say you just want to be friends, and your not interested in dating, the woman assumes you're just hoping she'll change her tune in the future..., she knows that you still want to get with her, and if she does say yes to being just friends odds are she's hoping to use that hope to her own advantage (ever heard of a cuddle slut/buddy?)
That said who said there is nothing wrong with being laughed at. I mean sure if you're trying to be funny, but when you ask a girl out in all seirous intent and all she laughs at you, that's jsut not cool...
